Angie Baker, although is clumsy, is a girl who is hard working and kind to everyone, but she is also very sad. She imagines a world of innocence, but she has a hard time accepting life for what it is. She doesn't have too many friends or even a boyfriend because she felt the boys who were interested in her were more interested in her looks. She was not put up to this lonely life; this is what she chose, and she teaches kids that it is okay to be different. There is a lot of pier pressure, but walking a solo path can some times bring forth wisdom.
When a babysitting opportunity opens up for her, she gets pumped since kids still have that innocence. However, she doesn't quite understand what troubles await her. During a car ride, they get lost, and they must find their way back home before the children's parents come back. Meanwhile, a hungry talking lion escaped from the circus, and he is craving a tasty babysitter like Angie. Now Angie needs to worry about getting the kids home and to not become dinner. Throughout this adventure, Angie realizes how much the kids appreciate her; all because of how much she cares. And in return, they help her with her sadness. She learns to realize that they are the friends she needed all along.
